Naga Chaitanya and Chandoo Mondeti’s romantic action thriller Thandel has added another proud chapter to its success story after winning big at the Gaddar Awards 2025. Naga Chaitanya won the Best Actor award, while the film was also honoured as the Best National Integration Film.
Taking on a deeply rooted rural character, Chaitanya brought sincerity, emotion, and raw intensity to the role. His ability to portray the character with realism and conviction earned him widespread praise, eventually leading to his first-ever state award for acting.
The film’s recognition as Best National Integration Film further underlines the strength of its message. Through its story, Thandel highlights the values of unity, shared heritage, and cultural identity, delivering a narrative that resonates beyond regional cinema. Its depiction of patriotism and emphasis on cultural roots played a key role in earning this honour.
