The much-anticipated film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Kannada superstar Yash, has once again become a hot topic in trade circles after reports suggested that its release was postponed due to technical issues in the film’s post-production.
Earlier, the makers officially cited geopolitical tensions in the Middle East as the reason for pushing the release date. However, a new report claims that the actual reason could be related to the film’s unfinished visual effects and weak audio quality in certain portions.
During a private screening, the team reportedly noticed that the VFX in some key scenes did not meet the expected standards, prompting them to take additional time to fix the issues before the theatrical release.
The film was initially scheduled to release on March 19, 2026, but it has now been pushed by a couple of months to allow the makers to improve the technical quality. Trade experts say this kind of delay is not uncommon for large-scale films that depend heavily on VFX.
At the same time, the postponement has sparked another discussion in industry circles. Some observers wonder if the delay also helps the film avoid direct comparisons with Dhurandhar 2, which is currently creating massive buzz with its trailer and advance bookings.
Whether the delay is purely for technical corrections or a strategic move to dodge competition, one thing is clear, the makers are taking extra care to ensure the film releases with the best possible quality
