An old conversation of Rashmika’s mother has been secretly recorded and was released to the media, which is currently trending online.

In this regard, Rashmika issued a statement, deeply hurt by whatever is happening around this controversy.

Rashmika said the clip was recorded and circulated without the knowledge or consent of those involved and that only a small portion of the conversation was taken out of context to create misleading narratives.

Rashmika stated that she has been facing misinformation, harassment, and targeted attacks from sections of the media and individuals online for the past eight years, but had chosen to remain patient and silent. However, she said the recent incident crossed a line as it dragged her family and acquaintances into unnecessary controversy.

Calling it a serious invasion of privacy and the spread of defamatory content, the actor urged media platforms, influencers, and individuals sharing the material to remove it within 24 hours. She warned that if the content continues to circulate, she will initiate legal action against those responsible.

Right after the release of her debut film Kirrik Party, Rashmika got engaged to her co-star Rakhit Shetty. However, the couple called off their relationship later, citing personal reasons. Even after this separation, Rashmika constantly faced unnecessary trolling by a section of the audience. Right now, it just crossed the line, and she did the right thing by addressing it politely.
