According to the latest trade figures, the North America opening day advance sales (premieres plus day one) have already touched $1.8 million. Even more impressive is the total advance sales for the first weekend, which have reportedly reached $3.65 million. At this pace, the film is on track to register the highest ever advance sales for an Indian film in history in the region.
While the booking numbers are creating history overseas, there is also another interesting development behind the scenes. Director Aditya Dhar is reportedly still working on the final output and finishing touches of the film.
With just five days left for the overseas premieres, the makers will need to deliver the final footage to international distributors at least a day in advance to ensure a smooth release across theatres. Aditya’s new post about him currently working on the output has raised curisoity.
