Sai Pallavi to Play Bollywood’s Legendary Madhubala?

Talented South actress Sai Pallavi is turning the spotlight of Bollywood even before the release of her debut Hindi film. Besides pairing up with Junaid Khan in Ek Din, she is also portraying the divine character of Sita in the epic Ramayana with Ranbir Kapoor. 

As she awaits the response of Bollywood moviegoers on both these much awaited films, Sai Pallavi seems to be game for interesting offers in Hindi as big-ticket filmmakers are considering her for crazy upcoming projects which are still in nascent stages of production. 

It is already a known fact that the Amaran actress is the forerunner to reprise the cinematic role of legendary carnatic singer MS Subbulakshmi in a biopic which will be helmed by Jersey fame director Gautham Tinnanuri. Though an official announcement is yet to be made, reliable reports suggest that Sai Pallavi has been finalized to headline this iconic biopic. 

Meanwhile, another interesting news started making rounds all over in Bollywood circles. As per these reports, Sai Pallavi is also one of the contenders to headline the biopic of legendary actress Madhubala under the direction of top league filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. 

Though the names of actresses like Kiara Advani and Aneet Padda appeared in the media circles, nothing official has been made by the makers so far. So, the casting is yet to be finalized as per reliable sources close to the team. 

Now, Sai Pallavi also joined the list as Sanjay Leela Bhansali considered her as one of the prime choices who fits the bill perfectly to appear as on-screen Madhubala in the biopic due to her versatility and pan-India popularity. 

With Sai Pallavi set to gain foothold in Bollywood with her two upcoming biggies, there is strong chances that Bollywood directors keep an eye on her jam-packed schedules and sign her for new projects. Moreover, she is unlike other stars who simply sign the dotted line for the sake of remuneration and hype. She is very choosy about her opportunities and accepts only substantial characters.
