Bookings for the Hindi action sequel Dhurandhar 2 have opened to a surprisingly strong response in several Telugu markets. Trade sources indicate the film will perform well in key markets across the Telugu states, seeing the craze.
Despite facing stiff competition from Ustaad Bhagat Singh, the film has managed to hold its ground in major cities. Reports suggest that Dhurandhar 2 will do well not only in A centres but also in several B centres, where the mass audience has responded positively to the film’s first part.
Since Ustaad Bhagat Singh has locked a large number of single screens, Dhurandhar 2 has mainly opted for multiplexes and prominent main centres for its run. Interestingly, the film will manage decent occupancy in key cities like Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam despite the clash.
Trade analysts feel that the moderate hype surrounding Ustaad Bhagat Singh will help Dhurandhar 2 attract audiences looking for an alternative big-screen experience.
If Ustaad Bhagat Singh fails to dominate the box office momentum in the coming days, there is a strong possibility that Dhurandhar 2 could continue to cash in on the opportunity and expand its hold in the Telugu market. Let’s see what happens.
