Akhil Akkineni’s next, Lenin was announced for June 26th release. The movie was already postponed on multiple occasions and one more postponement is very likely. Peddi is looking at June 25th release and there is no way Akhil would risk a clash.
This is what it appears for outsiders. But then, there is more than what the eye meets, our sources say.
The movie is yet to lock its OTT Partner. Akhil is yet to taste success in theaters or the OTT and so, Netflix is skeptical. Moreover, there is not enough buzz on the movie right now. The promotional content released so far barely made any impact.
Sithara Naga Vamsi is known for having strong ties with Netflix. We have seen him effortlessly close deals for his projects. But this particular film is encountering hurdles. Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios is the Co-Producer. Even that is not helping in anyway.
Also, the makers have announced dates in a rush and changed them at will diluting the whatever buzz the movie has.
In short, Lenin is facing all kinds of hurdles a movie should not face!
