Mega Powerstar Ram Charan’s Peddi is hitting the screens on the 4th of this month, and there have been discussions regarding the price hikes already.
Interestingly, the government of Andhra Pradesh issued a GO confirming the film’s hikes. The government allowed the screening of the film a day in advance on 3rd June at a price of 600 rupees per ticket, including GST.
Additionally, the government of AP also allowed ticket price hikes for a period of ten days from the day of release. This means that the single screens will have a hike of 100 rupees per ticket, and the Multiplexes will have a hike of 125 rupees per ticket. It is a powerful boost for Peddi producers to rake in maximum revenue.
However, the situation is still uncertain in Telangana. The reports say that the government will also favor the producers by issuing ticket hikes, along with special shows.
However, there is no clarity on the same. The exhibitors cleared their stand that they will not create any hurdles for the release of Peddi and it is upto the release of GO now for the opening of ticket bookings. If the GO is issued on Monday in Telangana, the advance bookings may open early.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi features Jahnvi Kapoor, Shivaraj Kumar, Jagapathi Babu and others.
