Will The Paradise Repeat Nizam Magic in Other Territories?

Natural star Nani’s upcoming mass entertainer The Paradise has been generating a tremendous buzz even though the makers haven’t yet announced the exact release date after pushing it from August to September. Trade circles are betting big on the film because of the massive hype in audience.

The team has recently closed a solid deal as the distribution rights for Nizam region were acquired by Mythri Movie Makers for a staggering ₹37 crores. This is the biggest deal for a single territory in Nani’s career so far. But, there is a bigger challenge ahead.

The Srikanth Odela directional is being mounted on an ambitious scale and already emerged as the costliest production for Nani because the budget has surpassed the initial estimation. The film now needs to secure promising deals in all other areas to put the producer in safe zone before release.

Ever since the team unveiled the unconventional first look poster of Nani and followed it up with the sensational chartbuster song Aya Sher, there has been a huge turnaround of hype for the film. Anirudh Ravinchander’s mass composition has become a euphoria and created unprecedented buzz.

Though the production house recently dismissed claims of a 110 crore worldwide theatrical deal, inside sources suggest that the final business figures across all regions will no doubt going to be excellent because of the growing anticipation.

While the Nizam deal is a major boost, the makers now need to replicate similar business across the remaining territories. Considering the film’s massive budget and lavish scale, strong pre release deals in Andhra, Ceded, Karnataka, Overseas and other regions are crucial to ensure the producer enters the release in a comfortable position.

For that to happen, the film needs another major push in terms of content. As the team simultaneously focuses on pending shoot and post production, it would be wise to lock Anirudh’s dates well in advance. With the composer expected to be occupied with other commitments in the coming months, Paradise should complete its music and promotional material without delays.

Just as Aya Sher created a sensational wave, the makers should aim to release another impactful promotional asset, preferably a second single or an explosive teaser, at least a month before release. Sustaining the momentum with a well planned promotional campaign will be key to maximizing the theatrical business in the remaining territories and capitalizing on the enormous hype surrounding the film.

This film marks Nani’s return to the screen after a gap of over a year following HIT 3: The Third Case and also his second collaboration with the director after delivering a commercial success earlier with Dasara.
