With advancements in technology and the widespread use of Artificial Intelligence, there is greater good happening. However, on the other side, there are also shortcomings attached to this. Many people are misusing AI by creating deepfake videos and resorting to morphing. The police acted strictly in the past when Rashmika was a victim of this. Now, it is Mrunal who openly shared her story.
Mrunal Thakur took to X, sharing that several people are misusing her identity by creating fake videos. “Creating or sharing deepfake content using my likeness is illegal and unacceptable. Consider this your formal notice to stop immediately. Any further misuse of my identity will result in legal action,” she wrote.
A lot of videos showing Mrunal Thakur have surfaced online in the recent past, and most of them are not real. Several actors continue to become victims of some online abusers who are misusing technology and unnecessarily creating content that is diverting the attention of netizens.
Many people urge that police should take strict and strong actions this time so that this won’t repeat in the future for others. However, some argue that strict cyber policies must be enforced so that the culprits will be punished strictly.
