I See Doing Mahendragiri Varahi As A Matter Of Destiny: Siddhu

The pre-release event of Sumanth’s Mahendragiri Varahi brought together the film’s entire team, with Siddhu Jonnalagadda and chief guest Akhil Akkineni adding special significance to the occasion.

For Siddhu, his association with Mahendragiri Varahi was closely connected to producer Madhu. He recalled that during their struggling days, he and Madhu had planned to make a film together. “We worked on the idea for three to four months, but the project eventually failed to materialise. Years later, Madhu approached me to play a special role alongside Sumanth. I see it as a matter of destiny.”

“Sumanth has carefully built a career where he enjoys the freedom to pick films irrespective of genre or subject. He has consistently chosen very different stories, and Mahendragiri Varahi is yet another interesting choice. There is a very crucial sequence between me and Sumanth, and it was very well written by Santhossh Jagarlapudi.”

Sumanth believes Siddhu’s presence has become a major strength for the film. “The project had already reached a certain level before Siddhu came on board, but his entry raised the film another notch. I thank Siddhu for accepting the story. He has redefined comedy-action through DJ Tillu and Tillu Square. More importantly, Siddhu plays a very crucial character whose presence helps unlock the story.”

The actor also heaped praise on director Santhossh Jagarlapudi. “There is one particular scene involving me and Siddhu. The scene may appear simple, but it holds tremendous importance because it unlocks the entire movie. Santhossh designed and executed it very well. I felt during the making of Mahendragiri Varahi that a divine force was guiding the movie.”

Akhil says that his relationship with Sumanth goes back to his childhood. “Sumanth Anna is always someone I could depend on, especially during moments when he could not call my parents.”

Akhil also praised the film’s producers. “In today’s theatrical environment, merely labelling a film as commercial or non-commercial is not enough. Filmmakers must believe in the content, execute it thoroughly and bring it to audiences properly. I felt Madhu and Laxman have done exactly that with Mahendragiri Varahi.”

He also thanked Siddhu for supporting the film despite having his own successful projects. He said such support for genuine content-based cinema deserves appreciation. “Siddhu brother came forward to support a genuine content-based film like this. We must appreciate that.”

Akhil further praised Santhossh Jagarlapudi for his patience and dedication, saying that the director had poured his heart and soul into the movie. He also connected with the film’s spiritual element, noting that the team had repeatedly spoken about a divine power surrounding the project. “I predict that Mahendragiri Varahi will become a huge hit, and I wish to attend the success meet.”

The film’s teaser, songs and trailer have received a tremendous response, setting high expectations ahead of its theatrical release.
