Director Venky Kudumula turned producer with the unique love and action saga Itlu Arjuna, introducing Aniesh as a hero, and Mahesh Uppala as a producer. The makers unveiled the film’s teaser yesterday, and the response is terrific. While Aniesh is winning accolades for his lively performance, though he played a challenging role, Mahesh is appreciated for coming up with a first-of-its-kind concept and the producer for backing such a subject.
Producer Venky Kudumula began by acknowledging the producers and industry personalities who had supported him during his filmmaking journey. He said his perspective changed significantly after stepping into production, as he began looking at not just the creative requirements of a scene but also the financial implications behind every decision.
Venky said choosing Aniesh for the lead role gave him immense satisfaction after seeing the actor’s performance. “After seeing Aniesh’s performance, I thought, ‘Whatever decision we took, it turned out to be correct.’ I felt that after seeing it, and you will also feel it after watching it. If there are dialogues, fine, you can just go along with the lines, but if there are no dialogues, everyone looks at actor’s face. That’s the big challenge.”
Venky also shared the inspiring story behind director Mahesh. A former software employee, Mahesh continued pursuing filmmaking even after deciding that returning to his job was not an option. While writing the script, he drove for Rapido to manage his expenses.
Venky also praised Anaswara Rajan, cinematographer Raja, Dinesh master and the rest of the technical and production teams, while highlighting Thaman’s contribution to the film’s music and background score.
For Aniesh, Itlu Arjuna is more than just a debut. He said the project became possible because Venky Kudumula trusted him with the role. The actor said director Mahesh’s narration made him immediately connect with Arjun. The biggest challenge, and perhaps the most distinctive feature of his character, is that the protagonist does not rely heavily on dialogue to communicate. “Usually after watching a movie, we remember the dialogues spoken by the hero. But I believe that after watching this film, you will remember the silence.”
He also spoke about the two-year journey of making the film and said he learned considerably from the experience. Aniesh credited cinematographer Raja for elevating the director’s vision and promised that the visuals would be one of the film’s major attractions.
Anaswara Rajan, who plays Keerthy, received special praise from Aniesh. Calling her the soul of this film, he said, “She has done an amazing job in this film.” Music is another major component of Itlu Arjuna. Aniesh thanked Thaman for believing in the film and its newcomers. “The world of Itlu Arjuna is going to sound really, really beautiful,” he said.
