Finally, A Star Heroine Donates For Cinema Workers

Published by

There is a widespread criticism that star heroines who are charging more than 2 crores per film have done only awareness videos for Corona crisis but haven’t really donated anything either for film industry’s daily wage workers or to that matter for any other body. From a time, netizens are trolling the likes of Nayantara, Kajal Aggarwal, Tamanna, Samantha and other top starlets regarding their donations.

Finally, Nayantara emerged as the first starlet to do a bit for the daily wage workers of Tamil cinema by donating 20 lakhs to FEFSI, Film Employees Federation of South India. Earlier, film industry biggies have openly expressed their disappointment that star theories are not coming forward to donate, and then upcoming heroine Aishwarya Rajesh donated 1 lakh to the federation.

Now that Nayantara has come forward to donate, many are hoping that the likes of Trisha and other top starlets might do their part to the film industry in the tough Covid-19 times. Cut to Telugu film industry, we have only Lavanya Tripathi donating for the Corona Crisis Charity, while other starlets haven’t even opened their purses yet.
