Director KV Anand passes away

Kollywood is in a period of mourning for the loss of popular comedian Vivek who recently passed away due to a cardiac arrest. Now, filmmaker KV Anand breathed his last today early morning at 3 am due to cardiac arrest. Anand was a cinematographer who later turned a director.

Some of his best works as cinematographer are Oke Okkadu, Boys, Chandralekha, Sivaji and many others. He worked in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages. As a director, he made Veedokkade, Rangam, Brothers, Anekudu and Bandobast.

The film personalities in South are shocked to learn the sudden demise of Anand.

Anand won the National Film Award for Best Cinematography for his debut film as a cinematographer, Thenmavin Kombath. Anand turned film director with the critically acclaimed Kana Kandaen. He is the founding member of the Indian Society of Cinematographers (ISC).

May his soul rest in peace.
