The director, Ram Abbaraju, created a sensation with, Sree Vishnu starrer, Samajavaragamana, in 2023. The comedy in that film worked out big-time with the audience and the film went on to become a huge money spinner. After the humongous success of Samajavaragamana, Ram Abbaraju, teamed up with, Sharwanand, for yet another romantic comedy film, Nari Nari Naduma Murari. Samyuktha and Sakshi Vaidya were roped in to play the female lead roles in the films. Most of the actors who did crucial roles in, Samajavaragamana, were hired to play crucial roles in, Nari Nari Naduma Murari, as well. Anil Sunkara, produced the film and decided to release it in theatres during the Sankranthi 2026 season. After generating enough curiosity with the teaser and trailer, the film was released in theatres today on the eve of Sankranthi. Did Sharwanand score yet another blockbuster during Sankranthi season after Express Raja in 2016 and Sathamanam Bhavati in 2017? Did the producer, Anil Sunkara, bounce back after the forgettable results of Agent and Bhola Shankar, in 2023? Did the director, Ram Abbaraju, score a blockbuster with his second film as well? Let’s figure it out with a detailed analysis.
What is it about?
Potlakayala Gawtham(Sharwanand) and Nithya(Sakshi Vaidya) fall in love with each other. While Gawtham’s father(Naresh) accepts their love and agrees to their marriage, Nithya’s father(Sampath Raj), initially says no and later agrees to get them married but with a condition. What is the condition that Nithya’s father, came up with? What were the challenges Gawtham faced while adhering to the condition imposed by Nithya’s father? Who is Dia and how is she related to Gawtham? How did Gawtham’s past relationship with Dia, affect his prospects of getting married to Nithya? Forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
Sharwanand played a tailor-made role and as always, he appeared effortless with his comedy timing and performance. Overall, he delivered a lovable performance in the film. Sakshi Vaidya looked out of the place in her first two Telugu films, Gandeevadhari Arjuna and Agent but in this film, she appeared confident and delivered a good performance. She’s likely to get many Telugu film offers in the coming days.
Samyuktha played the role which has two shades, a lovable girlfriend and a tough boss. She did a decent job with her performance. Vennela Kishore and Satya were the show stealers. The sequences on both of them along with some good funny dialogues, generated very good laughs. Naresh yet again got a good role and as always, his comedy timing was very good. Naresh and Sudarshan Reddy, delivered a few hilarious one-liners and made the audience erupt with laughter at a few places. Watch out for the quotations on the T-Shirts that Naresh wore in the film. Those lines on the T-Shirts too generated fun.
Sampath Raj, Sunil and Getup Srinu, generated a few laughs here and there. Sree Vishnu did a crucial cameo during the pre-climax of the film and he made his presence felt with his funny one-liners and with a thought-provoking dialogue about the trust factor between a couple.
Technicalities:
Vishal Chandrashekhar composed four songs for the film. Two of them are duets, one song about the struggle of the lead actor by getting stuck between two women and there was one more song at the end credits. Sadly, none of the songs worked out. If you listen to them as stand-alone songs, you may like both the duet songs but they do not fit into the theme of the film. A romantic comedy film like, Nari Nari Naduma Murari, requires instantly catchy songs and unfortunately, the four songs in the film did not serve the purpose although they were shot very well. The background score was just adequate and served its purpose to an extent.
Cinematography by Gnana Shekar V. S. and J. Yuvraj, is one of the major positives of the film. The visuals throughout the film looked pleasant, colourful, near and classy. The picturesque locales of Kerala were beautifully captured in the first half of the film. Editing by Ravi Shankar Akunuri, was largely good. However, a bit more care would have been taken in editing, particularly during the initial twenty minutes of the film.
Let’s discuss the story writer, Bhanu Bogavarapu, the dialogue writer, Nandu Savirigana and the screenplay writer & the director, Ram Abbaraju, work in detail in the analysis section. In short, all three of them seemed to have worked in good sync and it was translated well onto the screen in most parts. Production values by AK Entertainments & Adventures International Pvt Ltd, are neat. It appeared like the producers, Anil Sunkara & Ramabrahmam Sunkara, had enough trust in the script and the director and provided all the required resources.
Positives:
1. Core Conflict Point
2. Writing & Screenplay In Most Parts
3. Comedy
4. Performances
5. Cinematography
Negatives:
1. Songs
2. Inconsistent Pace
Analysis:
The story writer, Bhanu Bogavarapu, the dialogue writer, Nandu Savirigana and the screenplay writer & the director, Ram Abbaraju, earlier worked together for a hilarious entertaining film, Samajavaragamana. Just like their first time together, for ‘Nari Nari Naduma Murari’ too, they worked perfectly in sync and yet again came up with a good entertaining film. Throughout the film, it looked like the three of them knew their strengths and weaknesses and complemented each other to come up with a film that has ample doses of fun moments throughout. Quite a few blocks in the film in both halves of the film, along with well-written and relatable one-liners and comic dialogues, generated many laugh-out-loud moments in the theatre. Is ‘Nari Nari Naduma Murari’, a madcap entertainer without any story? The answer is a ‘No’.
Some people like to get married in an extravagant and flashy manner by inviting so many people to the wedding and a few people love to get married by just registering their marriage at the government registrar’s office. The story writer, Bhanu Bogavarapu, took the above point and came up with a good conflict point. He also came up with an interesting take on definition for the ‘love’ between a couple. While the concept of ‘One Man & Two Women’, is quite familiar to the audience, the interesting conflict point along with an equally interesting take on love, gave a fresh dimension and made ‘Nari Nari Naduma Murari’, stand apart from the films that were made in the past using the ‘One Man & Two Women’ concept. The screenplay writer and the director, Ram Abbaraju, took the story and came up with an engaging screenplay with enough fun moments and executed the film in a fairly engaging manner. The pace of the films went down here and there but in most parts, the execution was engaging. The dialogues by Nandu Savirigana, perfectly fit into the narration and enhance the fun moments quite well throughout the film.
‘Border cinema chusi, Jawan avvalanipinchinda? Dangal cinema chusi, wrestler avvalanipinchinda? Ledu kada? Mari, Sakhi cinema chusi enduku register marriage chesukunnav?’, ‘Vallaki vellaki nachhinattu kadu, manaki nachinattu brathakali’, ‘Naa peru Lovekusa, love kosam enthaduramaina velthanu’, ‘English lo pelli ni marriage ani peru enduku pettaro telusa? Ah age vallu aina chesukovachu ani’ – Along with the aforementioned ones, there were quite a few dialogues throughout the film that suited the situations very well and generated fun. A dialogue in the pre-climax for Sree Vishnu’s character about the trust factor between the married couple, was written well and worked out well with the conflict point of the film. Both the tracks of Vennela Kishore & Satya, generated laugh-out-loud moments & are likely to drive the audience crazy in theatres this festive season. The track on the senior actor, Naresh, also generated enough laughs in both halves of the film.
On the flipside, the makers of the film could have come up with good songs. A romantic comedy film requires at least two chartbuster instantly likeable songs to keep the audience hooked whenever the pace of the film dips a bit. Someone like, Bheems Ceciroleo, would have been an apt choice to score songs for the film. The songs scored by, Vishal Chandrashekhar, for the film sounded out of place and may not go well with the Sankranthi festive crowd in the theatres. Better care with songs, could have made the viewing experience even better. Also, the pace of the film was a bit inconsistent, particularly during the initial half hour.
Overall, Nari Nari Naduma Murari has a couple of flaws but the merits outdid the flaws by a big margin and made the film a good entertainer that can be watched in the theatres with friends and family this festive season. It offers a good amount of genuine laughs with colourful visuals and neat performances without getting overboard at any point. The film has every chance to be one a good success at the box office and to continue Sharwanand’s hit streak during Sankranthi season after Express Raja and Sathamanam Bhavati.
Final Verdict – Plesantly Entertaining
Rating – 3/5
