A Good Chance For Vishwak Sen To Put His Career Back on Track

Right from his first film, Falaknuma Das, as a solo lead actor until Gangs of Godavari, Vishwak Sen, films always used to have decent to good openings at the box office. Audiences, especially the youth audiences used to buy tickets for a show on the first day of his film release. With the films like Falaknuma Das, HIT: The First Case, Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam & Ori Devuda, he earned goodwill among the audiences as a promising hero and that hard-earned goodwill helped his films to get decent to good openings both at domestic and overseas box offices. 

But due to his over-enthusiasm, while promoting the films and attending press meets, especially from the time of ‘Das Ka Dhamki’ promotional events, his name started popping up in the news for all the wrong reasons. The negativity around him started to increase with each passing film right from ‘Das Ka Dhamki’ to ‘Gangs of Godavari’ and it started impacting his subsequent two film openings. Both ‘Mechanic Rocky’ and ‘Laila’ failed to get the bare minimum openings at the box office. 

His recent release, Laila, appeared very promising when it was announced but eventually failed to sustain the attention of the audiences due to the poor promotional content that was released before the release of the film. Bookings of the film started on a disastrous note and the poor word of mouth after the release did not help its cause either. But what is concerning here is his last film, Mechanic Rocky’s performance at the box office. It was a decent film. The second half of the film has some genuinely entertaining moments. Overall, the film received decent to good reviews and yet, the film did not sustain at the box office at least until the first weekend also. This is a very worrying trend for a promising young hero and he needs to turn the tide in his favour before it gets too late. 

The good news for Vishwak Sen is that his next release, Funky, looks very promising. Jathi Ratnalu fame, Anudeep KV is the director of the film, The successful production house, Sithara Entertainments is producing the film and the current sensation, Bheems Ceciroleo is providing music to the film. The combination of the hero, director, music director and the production house looks exciting. Sithara Entertainments is known for promoting its films very aggressively. So, Funky also will be promoted very aggressively without a doubt. All Vishwak Sen has to do is to stop responding to every other troll on social media and keep his over-enthusiasm in check while promoting the film. Let’s hope Vishwak Sen turns the tide in his favour and brings back his career on track with, Funky.
