Telugu Community is in shock after news emerged that 27-year-old Chandrashekar Pole, a resident from LB Nagar, was shot dead in Dallas, Texas. Chandrashekar had moved to the US in 2023 to pursue higher studies after completing his bachelor’s in dental surgery in Hyderabad, was working at a gas station on Friday night when an unidentified gunman reportedly attacked him.
Family members have expressed deep anguish and urged the government to help bring Chandrashekar’s body back to India. Chandrashekar had recently completed his master’s degree in the US and was seeking a full-time job while working part-time at the gas station to support himself.
Condoling the tragic incident, CM Revanth Reddy assured the grieving family of all possible support. “The death of Pole Chandrasekhar, a student from LB Nagar, in a shooting incident by miscreants in the US has caused deep shock and grief. I pray to God that his soul may find peace and express my profound condolences to his family members,”. He also added that the government would assist in repatriating Chandrashekar’s mortal remains to his hometown.
BRS MLA Sudhir Reddy and former minister T Harish Rao visited the student’s family in Hyderabad to express solidarity and offer support during this difficult time. Government has contacted the Indian Consulate in the US and is closely coordinating with Dallas police to investigate the incident and ensure swift action against the perpetrators. Authorities are also facilitating the necessary formalities for the safe repatriation of Chandrashekar’s body.
