USA: Amazon Cargo Plane Crash Leaves 5 Dead

In another aviation disaster, an Amazon cargo plane has crashed minutes after landing at the Miami airport in USA on Sunday evening and killed 5 people while injuring five others.

The Boeing 767-300 flight was coming from San Juan in Puerto Rico. The jet overran the runway around 2 p.m. local time and smashed into several vehicles parked nearby. Right after hitting the cars, the aircraft caught fire and started burning heavily.

Officials confirmed that at least 5 fatalities and 5 injuries happened due to this crash. Among the injured, 3 were sent to a local trauma center, while 2 others were taken to nearby hospitals.

More than 60 fire rescue trucks and emergency workers rushed to the scene to fight the big flames. Firefighters worked very hard for hours to control the fire and check on people who were near the crash site.

The exact reason behind the terrible Amazon cargo crash is not yet ascertained. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) temporarily halted flights and closed runways, which triggered massive travel delays across Miami International Airport.

Both the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched investigations to determine what caused the aircraft to skid off the tarmac.
