The Met Gala returned to the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 5, 2025, and the spotlight was firmly on New York City. It’s not just about fashion; this night helps raise money for the museum’s Costume Institute and also marks the start of its yearly fashion exhibition.
This year’s theme, Tailored for You, tied in with the Superfine: Tailoring Black Style exhibition, which shines a light on Black dandy fashion and the work of Black designers. As always, the red carpet saw some bold and personal style choices.
Shah Rukh Khan stood out in black from head to toe, paired with gold jewellery and a walking stick. It was a strong, striking look. Isha Ambani showed up in a white top and black pants, with a shrug that added just the right touch of drama.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas walked in together. She wore a black-and-white polka dot co-ord and finished the look with a massive black hat. Nick kept it simple with a white shirt and black pants. Together, they made quite the pair.
