Paritala’s Son Booked For Carrying Live Bullet At Hyd Airport

The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police have booked former TDP minister late Paritala Ravindra’s younger son Paritala Siddharth for carrying a live bullet in his baggage on Thursday morning. During a routine screening, the CISF personnel found a live round of ammunition of 5.56 calibre in Siddhartha’s baggage.

According to the media reports, Paritala Siddhartha and his friends were on their way to catch an Indigo flight to Srinagar.

Upon being caught with the live ammunition, Siddhartha reportedly told the security guards that he was not aware of the presence of the bullet in his baggage. He was also not carrying a valid document.

Soon after the higher authorities intervened, a showcause notice has been issued to Siddhartha under the Indian Arms Act.

The airport police have confiscated the bullet for further probe. Siddhartha, like his mother and elder brother Sriram, is active in Ananthapur politics. He got married in February last year.
