The Telangana High Court has issued a stay on the demolition drive of the state’s old Secretariat. Earlier this week, the demolition has started to construct a new swanky one in place of it.
But on the demolition, Professor Vishweshwar Rao has filed a PIL and this came for hearing on Friday. Taking up the petition, the Telangana High Court has asked the TRS government to stop the demolition drive for the next four days starting from today.
Further the High Court asked the Telangana government to furnish demolition plan and approval from local authorities and the Pollution Control Board.
Two weeks back, the Telangana High Court cleared the lines for construction of new Secretariat and it was KCR’s dream to build a hi-tech luxury Secretariat with perfect vaastu.
Will there be yet another twist in the tale of Secretariat? May not be possible as already thirty percent of the complex is razed yet the High Court might seek a few details for more clarity.
