The unemployed youngsters are still agitating against the Agnipath/Agniveer program that was introduced by the government of India recently. On Monday, a shutdown has been called for across India and states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are witnessing a tense atmosphere.
Amidst this BJP leaders are making irresponsible comments including Union Minister Kishan Reddy. BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya raked up a controversy that Agniveers can work as security guards at BJP offices.
“If I want to hire security for the BJP office, I will give priority to Agniveer. My friend has given the work of security to a former army man, who retired at the age of 35 years,” stated Kailash Vijayavargiya.
Union minister Kishan Reddy also reportedly made similar reckless statements that “Those who will be recruited under Agnipath scheme will be trained with different skills. There are skills in various profiles such as electricians, drivers, washerman, haircut etc. This will be helpful to them in future.”
These comments are disrespectful and absolutely demeaning the youngsters who will do selfless service for the country and then end up being security guards and drivers. What are the BJP leaders trying to suggest with such comments?
Irrespective of these comments, the government of India wants to implement Agnipath/Agniveer program and the army, defense and other wings are given instructions to take up the recruitment.
