Until the other day, Hyderabad was one of the hotspots for the Covid-19. Every day at least 1000 new positive cases were reporting from the city and this continued for some months post the outbreak. However, now the impact of the virus has come down in the city.
Earlier there were 90 plus Containment Zones and the number has come down to just 65. About a month back, Telangana CM KCR has directed the officials to impose restrictions with tight measures and this plan has worked and Hyderabad is averaging about 500 cases since a few days.
But the worrisome news is, the city outskirts like Medchal are posting a huge number of cases. As of August 11th, there are over 2500 cases from Medchal and the cases count is growing exponentially. Also in districts like Kamareddy and Nizamabad, the cases count is steady.
Like the strategy approached for Hyderabad, for districts the same thing should be done to contain the spread of the virus.
