#WhoKilledBabai: Setback for Avinash Reddy

In a huge setback for Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy, the Telangana High Court has dismissed his petition. Going back to this story, Avinash Reddy had filed a writ petition in the High Court, requesting the court to give orders to the CBI to not arrest him in the cross examination in connection with YS Vivekananda Reddy’s mysterious brutal murder.

Previously the High Court provided minor relief but reserved the final verdict. Short while ago, the High Court pronounced its verdict, dismissing Avinash’s writ petition and his request for questioning in the presence of his personal advocate was also turned down. The Court also declined to offer a stay while directing the CBI to go ahead with the interrogation of suspects and witnesses.

However the High Court ordered the CBI to record the probe being done both in audio and visual ways. With the latest High Court’s verdict, the case of Viveka’s murder one will take a huge turn.

There was buzz that Avinash Reddy might get arrested because he was one of the first persons to reach Viveka’s residence on the day the latter was killed. The CBI believes that Avinash Reddy has credible information on Viveka’s murder and also suspects him.

Now that the High Court’s verdict is out, what will be Avinash Reddy’s reaction? Will he approach the Supreme Court? Or will he appear before the CBI for the next round of questioning?
