Sujana Eyes On Guntur MP Seat?

Industrialist and AP BJP’s key leader YS Chowdary i.e, Sujana Chowdary is likely to contest the mainstream elections for the first time and he is said to have zeroed on the seat. Sujana is willing to contest for the Guntur Lok Sabha seat and this decision of his, comes after the recent tea meeting of BJP and TDP leaders at Alapati Raja’s residence.

Current MP, Jayadev Galla is not willing to contest for the third time and Sujana wants to fill this place and test his luck in the real election fight. TDP leaders Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, Nakka Anand Babu, Alapati Raja and others attended the tea meeting and many thought it was a friendly gathering. But the real story is that all the leaders discussed Sujana’s contention.

YS Chowdary has represented Rajya Sabha twice but he had a dream of contesting for the Lok Sabha some day. When Chowdary was in TDP, he worked extensively in Guntur and had close association with many leaders. At the tea gathering, all the leaders have supported Sujana’s contention and are ready to campaign for him in the elections.

If the BJP and Telugu Desam reunite, Sujana is seeking the Guntur Lok Sabha ticket but if that doesn’t happen, he is planning to quit the BJP and rejoin Telugu Desam and contest, is what the political rumours are making waves in Guntur political circles.

Guntur has a strong presence of the Kamma community and if Sujana forays into the elections, there are high chances of him winning the seat with a comfortable majority. Apparently former MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao who is expecting Narsaraopeta Lok Sabha is likely to be moved to Guntur but there is an opinion that Rayapati is too old and it would be better if he retires from politics.

Considering all equations, the circumstances are looking favourable for Sujana Chowdary. If he gets more clarity on this in the coming days, he wants to begin the ground work at the earliest than opponents.
