For almost a year now, there hasn’t been much news about YCP Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy. He is known as YCP’s spokesperson and wastes no time when the opposition criticizes AP CM Jagan and the YCP government. It’s unclear what happened, but CM Jagan sidelined Vijayasai Reddy, and full authority was given to Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. Rumors have it that Vijayasai Reddy is all set to bounce back.

Time has passed, and CM Jagan thinks that Sajjala failed to handle party and government affairs efficiently. Accordingly, CM Jagan is planning to bring back Vijayasai Reddy with elections fast approaching.

CM Jagan has many reasons why Sajjala failed, and one of them is the episode of former minister and senior YCP leader Balineni Srinivas Reddy. As a true loyalist of YSR, Balineni broke into tears before the media, yet Sajjala did not reach out to him to sort out their differences.

Sensing that party affairs are haywire, CM Jagan apparently is seriously thinking of assigning party internal matters to Vijayasai Reddy. Initially, Vijayasai handled the responsibilities of Uttarandhra and was coordinating the party affiliates. He also used to resolve differences between leaders.

Firstly, Vijayasai Reddy was exempted from the responsibilities of Uttarandhra, and then from the coordination of affiliated associations. Now Vijayasai Reddy is in the national capital, confirmed to be handling party affairs in Delhi. There were widespread rumors that all was not well between CM Jagan and Vijayasai Reddy, and they were not even talking to each other.

Now that the YCP needs Vijayasai Reddy’s experience, CM Jagan has made up his mind to appoint him to a bigger role. According to YCP insiders, Vijayasai Reddy will deal with conflicts between party leaders and ensure to resolve them as soon as possible, as elections are only nine months away.

Having been out of the limelight for quite some time, the buzz is that Vijayasai Reddy is ready to become active again. It’s necessary for any party to use its seniors efficiently, and CM Jagan is pulling the right card to silence discontent in the party and move forward.
