IAS officer Amrapali Kata has been appointed as deputy secretary to the Prime Minister’s office. Amrapali is one of the three IAS officers to get a place in PMO but the AP state cadre 2010 batch officer is the youngest one to make it to such a high level office.
Amrapali’s native village is N.Agraharam in Ongole district. But her education was all in Vizag. After making it to AP’s cadre, Amrapali worked as Vikarabad sub-collector and joint collector of Rangareddy district. Post the bifurcation, Amrapali was allotted to Telangana and she led the Warangal Municipal Corporation.
During the last year’s elections, Amrapali got promoted as joint CEO of Telangana Election Commission. She is also serving as private secretary to Union minister G Kishan Reddy for quite some time.
Now Amrapali is placed in the PM’s office and she will be serving in this position for the next three years i.e, until October 3rd, 2023.
