The deportation of around 21 students from the US in a single day sparked off visa concerns. With some of those deported belonging to Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy instructed the CMO officials to enquire about their details. He asked the officials to look into the issue and resolve the matter.

Concerned over the plight of the students, he even asked the officials to get in touch with the Foreign Affairs ministry, if needed and take the necessary measures.

A majority of the students deported include those from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They had completed the visa formalities but faced document checks and detainment at Atlanta, Chicago, and San Francisco airports, according to the reports.

The students were confused over the deportation as they believed that they had fulfilled all the requirements for the visas. They said that they had no information over why they were sent back. Some students said that their phones and WhatsApp chats were also checked.

Some others said that they were told to leave the premises silently without any questions. Further, they were even warned of serious legal action if they raised their voice.

According to The media reports, the students will be prohibited to enter the US fro the next five years.
