YS Sharmila is having an eventful time. On one hand, she is preparing for the wedding festivities of her son, YS Raja Reddy, and at the same time, she is working on her political commitments. Sharmila has now called on Telangana CM and her fellow Congress bigwig Revanth Reddy and invited him to her son’s wedding.
Sharmila visited Revanth Reddy at his residence in Hyderabad a few minutes ago and they shared mutual congratulations. Sharmila congratulated Revanth Reddy for becoming the new CM of Telangana and Revanth congratulated Sharmila upon her son’s marriage. Sharmila then invited Revanth to her son’s wedding and the CM is said to have obliged.
Sharmila was supposed to meet Revanth in Delhi itself on the very day she joined the Congress party. But Revanth was occupied with meetings with central ministers, discussing Telangana’s ongoing irrigation and welfare projects. Due to the time constraint, the meeting didn’t materialize in Delhi. However, Revanth made time for the meeting with Sharmila in Hyderabad today. Coming to Sharmila’s son’s wedding, it will happen in Hyderabad on February 18th.
Months before the election, Sharmila and Revanth were verbally attacking each other while Sharmila led YSRTP and Revanth was heading Congress’s campaign. But they are on the same ship today as Sharmile merged YSRTP in Congress. She appears to have settled her rivalry with Revanth as well, as the old saying goes “There are no permanent friends or enemies in politics.
