Jagan’s Poor Candidate Declares Rs 161 Cr Assets

Speaking at the Kurnool district Memantha Siddham program, CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy introduced his party’s Yemmiganur MLA candidate, Butta Renuka as a commoner who has a so-so financial condition. This immediately triggered a series of funky reactions as the opposition leaders pointed out that Butta is one of the richest politicians in AP and it is funny to see Jagan introduce her as a commoner with so-so financial condition.

Making things official, Butta Renuka declared her assets yesterday as she filed her nomination and she is anything but a poor candidate. Butta Renuka and her husband Siva Neelakanta have declared assets worth Rs 161.21 crores. But strangely, Butta family’s assets went down from 2014, when their declared assets were Rs 242 crore.

The Butta household has multiple Honda and Tata car dealerships, huge shares in Tejaswi Jewellers, Butta Hospitals, Butta Infrastructures, and several other companies.

The Butta family has 4 Income Tax irregularity cases against them. While three are in Hyderabad, one case is running in Kurnool. Butta Renuka is contesting from Yemmiganur in this year’s election.
