Telangana CM KCR’s daughter Kavitha has won the MLC seat under the Nizamabad local body. The MLC polls were held last week and in this Kavitha secured 728 votes. Under the Nizamabad Local body, there are a total of 824 votes.
While Kavitha got a huge majority, Congress and BJP failed to get even a deposit as they secured 29 and 56 votes respectively. 10 votes have turned invalid as graduates did not follow the norms.
When the counting started, Kavitha secured 531 votes out of the 600 in the first round and then it was evident that the victory would be unanimous.
Now that Kavitha has been elected as MLC, we have to see whether KCR will induct her in cabinet and make her minister.
