YS Jagan Mohan Reddy contested in the general elections in 2019 without any support from other political parties. Fortunately, Jagan emerged victorious in the polls and has become the second chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. Surprisingly, he wanted to ally with Janasena back then.
Pawan Kalyan, the chief of Janasena, revealed the same in a recent interview. Pawan mentioned that Jagan always wanted to ally with Pawan Kalyan, but for various reasons, he has not shown interest in the same.
“A lot of YSRCP leaders approached me with the proposal of an alliance, and many mediators tried to make the alliance happen. But, I had clearly mentioned that I don’t want to get into an alliance with YSRCP,” revealed Pawan Kalyan.
Interestingly, Jagan seems to have displayed interest in allying with Janasena even for 2024 polls which Pawan revealed. However, Pawan declined the interest again. But, the YSRCP leaders and Jagan never opened up on the same.
Currently, Janasena is in an alliance with TDP and BJP while Jagan is coming solo again.
