In recent events in Pithapuram, at YSR Congress contestant Vanga Geetha’s office, a few voters expressed their concern about unfair practices being followed.
Guess what, these unfair practices are not something related to being honest in the election process. They are regarding the sharing of the bribe money offered per vote.
Few voters started to protest that Vanga Geetha’s team had distributed money only to certain people but not to all the supporters of the YSR Congress.
The situation escalated when the police intervened and tried to disperse the protesters. Similarly, in Y. Kotthapalli Mandal, voters took to the streets to protest against YSRCP, alleging that the party is asking them to promise by fire or at a temple, before taking money, such that they would vote tomorrow for the party at any cost.
Overall, these incidents show us how responsibly some people of the ruling party are maintaining the integrity of elections and safeguarding democratic principles.
