Moved by the havoc created by rains in Hyderabad from celebrities to many companies have contributed towards the CM relief fund. Hyderabad-based MyHome Group contributed Rs 5 crore and added that it is their responsibility to do their bit as a relief measure.
After MyHome, Ramoji Rao led Eenadu Groups too donate a big amount. Chairman Ramoji Rao has announced Rs 5 crore and following this the representatives of Eenadu met Telangana IT minister KTR to hand over the cheque. After this KTR dialled Ramoji and thanked for his timely help for the rehabilitation works.
Meanwhile the Telangana government has estimated a total loss of Rs 9422 crore across the state due to the rains. The central team had visited the state and toured the waterlogged colonies in Hyderabad and the damaged crop in places like Siddipet.
In Hyderabad, the loss of property is estimated at Rs 566 crore by the Telangana government. The Central team added that the Centre has already released Rs 550 crore and based on the report, further assistance would be provided.
