RBI Governor Das Tests Corona Positive

Reserve Bank Of India Governor Shaktikanta Das has been tested positive for Corona Virus. Mr Das took to Twitter to inform the news. He is currently in quarantine. He is going to work from isolation. He is 63-year-old. Ever since lockdown came into force in March, Das and his entire staff have been working from office. Das, who tested positive, is said to be asymptomatic. He confirmed that he is feeling very much alright. He also stated that he has alerted those who came in contact with him.

It can be noted that even Union Home Minister Amit Shah had contracted Corona Virus. He has successfully recovered from Covid. 

The Covid-19 cases in the country are below 55,000 for the third consecutive day. Union Health Ministry on Sunday also said that new deaths due to Covid in a day came down to 578 after almost three months.

While 50,129 new Covid cases are reported, the total Covid cases touched 78 lakh. The new deaths reported are 578 and the total death tally due to Covid stood at 1.18 lakh.
