Peddireddy’s Farmhouse In Forest Land, CM Orders Investigation!

The name Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy was assertively dominant in the Chittoor district during the YCP tenure. While he served as the Panchayat Raj minister in Jagan’s cabinet , he is also accused of grabbing private and also government lands.

Going by the latest expose report, published by Eenadu Ramachandra Reddy reportedly built himself, a lavish estate in the middle of Mangalampet Reserve Forest area. 

Shockingly, the lands that belong to reserve forests and come under the jurisdiction of the forest department, where registered in the name of Ramachandra Reddy. 

To put that into perspective, there is not a single bit of private land anywhere in the forest area, except for the portion that was occupied by this YCP leader. The survey numbers 295, 296 were reportedly registered in the name of Peddireddy and together, they accumulated 23.69 and 75.75 acres of land respectively. 

Not stopping there, the YCP Senior even commissioned a that Road to this lavish estate in the middle of reserve forest where he built himself a swanky farmhouse. 

This forest region is crucial for wildlife movement and reportedly several wild animals used to travel through this route. However, Peddireddy obstructed the same by building himself a swanky farmhouse and commissioning a thar road to the premises. This is said to have seriously affected the wildlife in the area.

After the forest department was unearthed this massive occupation by Peddireddy, the chief minister was notified of the same. Incidentally, CM Chandrababu then formed a subcommittee to investigate the matter.

The subcommittee comprises of Chittoor collector, Sumit, District SP Manikanta Chandolu, and Forest Officer Yashoda Bai. This committee will now be investigating the nature of this illegal occupation, and the way in which it was permitted in the first place. 

To this day, Peddireddy remains to be Pungunur MLA and he is one of the few strong MLAs in the YCP ecosystem. He is in fact next only to Jagan in terms of party level ranking even in the assembly. However, in view of the illegal occupation allegations against him, aiming the barrel at him could very well shake up the YCP group.
