Lokesh Met Prashant Kishore? What’s Happening?

Political strategist Prashant Kishore played an integral role in the massive victory of Jagan Reddy in 2019. Fast forward to 2024, and the same Prashant Kishore projected a historic downfall for Jagan, which ultimately came true. However, this time, PK was not associated with the IPAC team that worked for Jagan.

It’s worth noting that Prashant Kishore stopped actively strategizing politically about three years ago when he left IPAC. Since then, he has occasionally worked as a political consultant. In fact, he even met with Chandrababu and Lokesh before the 2024 elections to briefly share his expertise.

Coming to the topic at hand, recent developments suggest that IT Minister and TDP scion Nara Lokesh met with PK during his Delhi trip last night. The two had a meeting at 1 Janpath in Delhi, which lasted for about an hour.

Although there has been no official communication regarding this meeting, media reports suggest that Lokesh and PK primarily discussed the enhancement of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Telangana. The meeting focused on how to rejuvenate TDP in Telangana and restore its lost glory.

It’s important to note that Chandrababu has already promised TDP workers in Telangana that the party will become more active in the state. In line with this, Lokesh met political strategist Prashant Kishore to discuss a game plan for the same.

Until now, it was Chandrababu Naidu who served as the chief strategist for the Telugu Desam Party in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. But as of now, we are seeing Lokesh take on a more prominent role in core planning and execution. The meeting with PK clearly hints at this shift. The knowledge transfer between PK and Lokesh could play a significant role in shaping the Telugu Desam Party’s game plan in Telangana.

Reports indicate that the yellow brigade might participate in the upcoming GHMC elections, which could set the stage for the return of Telugu Desam in the neighboring state.
