Pahalgam Attack: Hyderabad IB Officer & Vizag Citizen Dead

The Pahalgam terrorist attack on tourists sent shockwaves across the world. The entire nation is shocked to learn about what happened in Kashmir. This is something bigger that has taken place in recent times in Kashmir, that too, on civilians. As per the reports, a citizen from Visakhapatnam and an IB officer working in Hyderabad also lost their lives during the attack.

Chandramouli, a resident of Visakhapatnam and a retired bank employee, was killed. It is reported that he was chased and killed while he was fleeing. It seems that the terrorists committed this attack despite his pleas not to kill him. Fellow tourists found Chandramouli’s body and informed the authorities. The family members have left for Pahalgam now.

On the other hand, an Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer from Hyderabad is also among the tourists killed in the terror attack. Named Manish Ranjan, a native of Bihar, was holidaying in Kashmir along with his family. He was shot dead in front of his wife and children. Manish Ranjan was posted in the ministerial section of the IB’s Hyderabad office.

As per the unofficial reports, more than 25 tourists were dead during the shooting. PM Modi cut short his Saudi trip and landed in New Delhi this morning and will shortly leave for Srinagar to assess the situation.
