HBD RRR: From Victim to Victor

The deputy speaker of Andhra Pradesh, Assembly Raghu Rama Krishna Raju is celebrating his birthday today, and this could not have come at a better time for him at a personal and political capacity.

A year ago exactly today, RRR would have been very sceptical about the electoral result of Andhra Pradesh election after his heinous tenure with YCP. Despite being a representative of the ruling YCP, RRR was put through absolute hell and was even put through custodial torture by the very same Andhra Pradesh Police, who should have otherwise been protecting him.

But nevertheless, RRR showed the great fight and resolute to stand up against the ruthless YS Jagan and publicly spoke against the chief minister while not many were daring to. He exposed the operational failures and financial mismanagement of Jagan at a crucial time.

Then, RRR quit YSR Congress just before the election and joined the NDA outfit. But again, this journey was also not very smooth as RRR could not get the desired Narsapuram MP ticket. He had to settle with Undi MLA ticket on TDP behalf, but still maintained his composure.

In the end, RRR managed to avenge his humiliation during his time in YCP and went on a winning run in the assembly election. After having won the Undi assembly seat, he was quickly promoted as the deputy speaker of Andhra Pradesh, Assembly.

Same day last year, RRR was a tortured leader by YCP. And today, he is the deputy speaker of AP Assembly, and even Jagan might have to stand in front of him in the Assembly house if at all, he comes there sometime in the future.

This has been a tale of great fight and character where RRR showed great perseverance and resilience. Here’s wishing him a very happy birthday on the occasion.
