The BJP is currently on a resurgent run in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The party is already in a coalition government in Andhra Pradesh along with Telugu Desam and JSP, while it is making swift inroads in Telangana.
In this context, the BJP leadership is currently occupied with the process of appointing the new state president for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The latest development are suggesting that the local BJP leadership has clearly gone with institutionalised leaders who have a strong RSS DNA in them.
It is being established that former MLC Madhav, who has been with Andhra Pradesh, BJP for several decades now is likely to be the new president of Andhra Pradesh BJP wing. The nomination process is starting today, and it is a matter of time before the new president is announced.
It looks nearly certain that Madhav is going to replace Daggubati Purandeswari as the new president of Andhra Pradesh BJP. He has a strong RSS DNA infused in him.
On the other hand, we have Telangana BJP, president selection prospect and we are hearing an interesting update on this as well. It is being established that another former MLC Ramachander Rao who also has a strong RSS ideology and mindset is on course to be appointed as the new president of the saffron party in Telangana.
Comparatively there is more anticipation and competition for Telangana BJP presidency post, but it is established that the local leadership has decided to go ahead with Rao who has been an RSS activist from day one.
It appears that the local leaderships have clearly decided to side with RSS sympathisers and loyalists this time around.
