In a surprising turn inside the Telangana Assembly, KTR said his party is ready to stand with the Congress government in Delhi if the fight is genuinely about securing justice for BCs.
KTR reminded CM Revanth Reddy of his own old statement that “a lot can be done before finishing a cup of tea.” He asked why the same urgency was missing now when it came to getting the BC Bill cleared by the President.
“If you really mean business, take an all-party team to Delhi. We will join you without hesitation,” KTR declared. He argued that only the CM’s office can get an appointment with the Prime Minister, not an MLA, and questioned why Revanth was avoiding a direct approach.
KTR also pointed out that Rahul Gandhi himself skipped the recent protest, asking the CM to explain why. He added that turning every issue into political theatre was unnecessary, recalling that KCR had also fought for BC justice earlier.
With this statement, BRS has opened the door to a rare possibility of standing alongside the Congress in Delhi on the BC Bill issue, if Revanth is truly willing to take the fight forward.
