It has nearly reached the point where YSR Congress is facing existential crisis in Andhra Pradesh and things are not looking positive for the YS Jagan-led party. The party is bleeding dry with many senior leaders deserting Jagan for his untoward practises.
In this context, YCP Senior leaders Marri Rajasekhar, who was once a trusted associate of Jagan is now joining the Telugu Desam party.
Factually speaking, Rajasekhar, who is also a MLC, quit YSR Congress back in March itself before the election, saying Jagan is not a man of his word and has been repeatedly breaking promises.
He was disgruntled by the fact that Vidadala Rajini was being promoted as the big head in the YCP ecosystem in Chilakaluripet area. So he effectively quit YSR Congress back in March itself but held on to the MLC post.
Subsequently, the latest developments are suggesting that Rajasekhar is going to join Telugu Desam party as an MLC this evening in the presence of Chandrababu Naidu. This would not just add further impetus to TDP in Chilakaluripet, but also added to its strength in the Legislative council.
