Vijay Seeks Permission for Rally, What’s The Police Reaction?

It wasn’t long before Tamil superstar, Thalapathy Vijay created a lot of ruckus with his public rally in Karur. This incident which claimed the lives of around 41 people is one of the most unfortunate events in Tamil Nadu politics.

Now nearly 2 months after this unfortunate incident, Vijay has approached the police again and has sought the permission for the upcoming rally in Salem.

However, Tamil Nadu police have reacted pretty sharply to this request as they have blatantly rejected the permission for the same. They have said a clear “no” to Vijay’s request to hold a massive rally in Salem early next month.

Tamil Nadu police have stated that the upcoming Karthika Deepam festival and an incidental Muslim protest in the first week of December would require a lot of police protection and it could be impossible for them to safeguard Vijay’s rally in December.

It was always unlikely that Vijay would secure permission from the Tamil Nadu police department after the unfortunate Karur stampede and the same is becoming evident now.
