Amidst High Drama, CM and DCM Have Breakfast Together!

Karnataka politics are generally never short of entertainment and it has now reached a point where the chief minister and the deputy chief minister themselves have indulged in a power battle.

There has been a growing narrative that deputy CM DK Siva Kumar has been plotting against CM SiddhaRamaiah, and he himself wants to be the chief minister of Karnataka correspondingly. 

The Congress high command, including Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, were occupied with this matter for the last few days as an amicable solution was expected to be found. In this context, something interesting happened today as the CM and the deputy CM sat down for a breakfast meeting. 

Shortly after this breakfast meeting, Deputy CM DK Siva Kumar stated “Today, I and the Chief Minister had a breakfast meeting. The CM will be coming to my house for lunch or dinner in the next few days as well.

We have joined together and worked together. The workers of the state have supported us, and the people of Karnataka have blessed us with a massive mandate. Whatever promises we have given to the people, it is our bound duty to deliver them.”

The CM also added that they did not discuss anything beyond politics and only had breakfast this morning. He said they both are committed to whatever the high command decides and awaiting the same.

Whether there is a lot of drama happening with regard to the power politics in Karnataka, the CM and deputy CM sitting down for a breakfast this morning has indicated a new twist in the tale.
