Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that Rs 50 crore will be credited into the bank accounts of pastors across Andhra Pradesh on December 24 as part of the government’s honorarium support.
The Chief Minister made this announcement while participating in the Semi Christmas celebrations organised by the State Government in Vijayawada. He said the coalition government is committed to supporting the Christian community through welfare and financial assistance.
He stated that 8,427 pastors in the state are receiving a monthly honorarium of Rs 5,000. He added that from December 2024 to November 2025, a total amount of Rs 50 crore will be released in a single installment on December 24.
The Chief Minister said the government has already released Rs 30 crore between May and November 2024 towards pastor honorariums. He said these steps reflect the government’s commitment to the welfare and dignity of religious service providers.
He also said that the government will continue to stand by the Christian community and ensure financial stability and social security through various welfare initiatives.
