Telangana Signs Key Global Partnerships at Davos Summit

Telangana made headlines at the 2026 World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, as the state showcased its ambition to become a global hub for technology, innovation, and sustainable development.

Led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the Telangana delegation announced several key agreements and investment commitments aimed at boosting the state’s economy and creating new opportunities.

A major highlight was the signing of an MoU with Blaize, a US-based company specializing in energy-efficient AI hardware and software. This partnership will expand AI, semiconductor, and electronics research and development operations in Hyderabad, strengthening Telangana’s position as a future-ready technology hub.

Telangana also signed a strategic agreement with Sargad, focusing on aerospace and defence manufacturing. The plan includes setting up an aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility in the state, with an indicative investment of around ₹1,000 crore over the next three to five years.

The state also took a significant step in international collaboration by joining hands with the United Arab Emirates for the Bharat Future City project. This initiative envisions a net-zero, smart city near Hyderabad, with a joint task force working to attract global partners and investments.

On the corporate front, French beauty giant L’Oréal committed to establishing a Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad focused on beauty technology, with an investment of approximately ₹3,500 crore. This centre is expected to create hundreds of new jobs and further enhance Telangana’s reputation as a destination for global innovation.

Telangana also unveiled its Next-Gen Life Sciences Policy 2026–2030, aimed at attracting around $25 billion in investment and generating nearly 500,000 jobs. The policy aligns with the state’s broader vision of “Telangana Rising 2047,” a roadmap to transform Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047.

Beyond formal agreements, the delegation engaged with global firms such as Unilever and Google, exploring future collaborations in technology, sustainability, and urban development.

The Davos engagements reflect Telangana’s growing ambition to position itself on the global stage, combining innovation, sustainable urban planning, and strategic partnerships to create a vibrant, investment-friendly ecosystem.
