It is already known that Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy took part in the WEF Summit in Switzerland last week. Shortly after this summit, he was on an official trip to the United States, but this got projected badly by certain media outlets as they reported Revanth is away from CM duties and is doing something unofficial.
However, the Telangana fact check wing has clarified on this matter and busted the narrative that was being built by vested entities.
As stated by the Fact Check wing, a misleading and fabricated narrative is being circulated on social media regarding Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s official visit abroad, falsely suggesting that he “disappeared” or undertook an unreported private trip.
The Chief Minister’s visit to New York and subsequent travel were entirely official and duly coordinated. The itinerary of this New York trip was notified to the government, and it is indeed an official visit.
Upon arrival in the United States from Davos, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) formally received the Chief Minister at Newark Airport.
The MEA provided an official vehicle for the Chief Minister’s travel within New York, in accordance with standard diplomatic procedures.
Reportedly, Revanth is intentionally maintained a low-key public profile during this period to focus on a rigorous academic and institutional engagement programme, which required uninterrupted attention.
