One of the most progressive measures taken by Andhra Pradesh, chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu was the implementation of the real time governance system, RTGS in Amaravati. This allows the state administration to assess and track all crucial happenings across the state from a single standpoint.
Incidentally, Chandrababu gave a tour of the RTGS office in Amaravati to Bill Gates who arrived in the capital city today along with the Gates foundation delegation.
Reportedly, Chandrababu explained about the RTGS system and also the WhatsApp governance which is imposed by the Andhra Pradesh government. The interesting point is that Bill Gates himself was reportedly impressed with the presentation that was given by the AP chief minister.
On the occasion, Babu stated “Technology must serve humanity. Our Real Time Governance System (RTGS) is transforming lives across Andhra Pradesh by delivering speed in governance & ease of doing business in real time.”
Grateful for my 1990s meeting with Mr. Bill Gates, which inspired this tech-driven citizen empowerment. Delighted to showcase our RTGS centre today, powered by brilliant young minds, alongside flagship initiatives in education, agriculture & health, he concluded.
Bill Gates learned about Data Lake, Aware 2.0, WhatsApp Governance, Sanjeevani Project, and the capital Amaravati projects and examined the presentations on the display walls at RTGS facility.
