Was Perni Nani Forced Out of Retirement by YCP?

YSR Congress Senior leader and able spokesperson Perni Nani had announced political retirement before the 2024 Andhra Pradesh election. He fielded his son Kittu from Machilipatnam Assembly constituency and preferred to step away from active politics.

But YSR Congress had a pathetic election campaign and Nani’s son Kittu himself lost the Machilipatnam seat. Subsequently, Nani had to come out of retirement and active in politics again.

However, it appears that this is more like a force decision rather than a voluntary one for Nani as he opened up about his retirement in a recent Media interview. 

“ I wanted to be done with politics and spend time with my family, and that is the reason why I announced retirement. But due to my Daridram (Badluck), I had to come back as our party lost the election, and there was my need which I had to serve.” Nani stated.

Nani had a lot of dread and disgust while saying that he had to end his retirement abruptly and come back to politics upon the need that came up due to YCP’s defeat.

After listening to this comment from Nani, certain political analysts are pointing out that perhaps YCP leadership forced him to come back to politics after the party suffered a suffocating defeat.

This must be a strange scenario for the senior leader who wanted to spend time with family, but is not able to do so due YCP’s current situation.
