After having operated from Tadepalli during his time as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan shifted to Bengaluru after the defeat in 2024. He had been staying almost all the time in Yelahanka House in Bengaluru, and only comes to Andhra Pradesh on a weekly basis.
But now the latest reports from leading Telugu media channel are suggesting that Jagan is contemplating the idea of shifting to Hyderabad soon.
Apparently, Jagan is considering the idea of shifting to the Lotus Pond house in Hyderabad and operate from here. This is reportedly a trigger response to recent criticism from political circles about Jagan doing a shuttle service from Tadepalli to Bengaluru every week.
Moreover, Jagan is completely inaccessible even to his own YCP leaders as this residence in Yelahanka Bengaluru is completely private space. So it might be a better option to shift to Hyderabad. Jagan is reportedly planning to counter the propaganda built against him as a Bengaluru man operating in AP politics.
Already several Andhra Pradesh leaders, including government representatives have been staying in Hyderabad sparingly. So it should not be too much of a surprise if Jagan shifts here as well.
There is a problem here as the lotus pond house in Banjara Hills is shared by Jagan and his warring sister Sharmila. It should be too much to process for Jagan to stay in the same compound as his sister who has been breathing fire against him. This is going to be one major detractor if at all Jagan contemplates shifting to Hyderabad.
Sharmila is already fuming on Jagan, saying he had grabbed her properties that should have descended on her from their late father YSR. There’s even a tribunal case running on it. So it should be pretty much farcical to see Jagan operate from the Hyderabad house if at all it happens in the first place.
For now, this is just a media speculation, and there is no point in digging too deep on this matter. We can discuss more only if Jagan actually shifts from Bengaluru to Hyderabad.
